Build Yourself Up With Every Project
Written by RC Gates
But to us, our art does not seem good enough. It always seems to be looking up at us from the page, mocking us with the three pencil strokes that were out of place or the six pixels that we forgot to color. Maybe the sorcerer that we were trying to draw ends up having legs that are slightly too short, or the mermaid in our digital painting is a tiny bit cross-eyed. But you know what?
That can all change.
After every art piece you create, there will always be an idea that follows it. Take that idea and use it to improve your skills. Do you notice that your anatomy is a bit off? Use your next art project to focus on improving anatomy. Want to add more action to your poses? Look up some tutorials and make that the primary focus of your project.
But I still feel that need to improve.
Even when you finally break through that barrier to finally liking your art, you will still need to improve. You will ALWAYS need to improve. However, you will get more and more comfortable with how your art looks. So, here is my answer to the question that you are asking yourself about “Is my art good enough?”
Yes, your art can be good enough, but you can always continue to improve. It is all in your hands.
