Indie Comics Underground is a place where you can find out so much about so many comics. We are incredibly proud to be able to put these projects in front of you. This time we had the chance to talk to Nandor Fox Shaffer about his ambitious and critically acclaimed Seasons Volumes 1 & 2 now on IndieGogo
First off, can you give us a little background on yourself?
I’m a Midwestern kid, currently twenty-three, and I’ve been making comics for the past four years. I grew up immersed in both the Marvel and DC Universe, Star Wars, Doctor Who, and video games. I actually found my love for writing through blogging about video games and songwriting (currently the drummer in a local band with my brother). I went to college to pursue creative writing, but only after a year, I decided to pursue making comics instead.
Seasons has already been available as a webcomic. Why bring it to print?
Print was always the goal and the dream. We put it out as a webcomic first to garner interest and create a healthy fanbase that would eventually allow us to crowdfund the physical volumes. Digital is super nice and convenient, but comics were made to be read in the readers’ hands.
What can we look forward to in the future as Fletcher's year continues on beyond Summer?
Change. Unpredictability. Excitement. Struggle. Some pain relieved but also introductions to new threats, new pressures, and new experiences for this character and his world.
